Parking in Le Tréport.
There is always a space in Le Tréport — just not necessarily where you think, nor at the same price. Here is the map, the rates, and the one habit that changes everything: €25 a day in the centre, €3 at the top of the cliff, with a free funicular to bring you down.
Off season, charged only at weekends and on public holidays, from 10:00 to 20:00. Charging resumes on Saturday 3 October at 10:00 — if your car is still there by then, you will have to pay. Today’s weather: 21.8 °C.

Town-centre paying zone
€1.40 per hour · €25 per day
Charged from 10:00 to 20:00: every day from 15 June to 15 September, at weekends and on public holidays the rest of the year. The paying perimeter of the town centre, marked on the road: the quays, the Poissonnerie, Place de la Batterie, the seafront, the Esplanade and Espace Max Guillochin.
Les Cordiers district
€5 per hour · €30 for 3 days · €50 per week
Charged all year round. In the streets of the historic district, around rue Thiers.
Funicular car parks
for 24 h, on the car parks at the top of the cliff — and the funicular down to the centre is free. Short stay: €0.50 per 15 min, up to 1h15.
This is not an insider tip: it is the town hall’s own recommendation. Les Cordiers, the historic quarter, is very densely built — residents have a permit (€20/year) and visitors are far better off parking elsewhere.
Short stop: 20 minutes maximum, parking disc required (even with the resident permit)
The funicular
The Le Tréport funicular is free, all year round.
It works like a lift: press the button on the call point and one of the four cabins comes to you. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Reduced mobility
CMI card: mind the catch.
Parking is free for holders of the French CMI card marked “Stationnement”, on all open car parks, provided the card is clearly displayed.
Motorhomes
Three sites, one price.
€12 for the pitch with electricity · €3.50 for water
The price is the same on all three sites: only the number of pitches differs.

Both funicular sites take bank cards only. Parc Sainte-Croix offers water, electricity, waste disposal and picnic tables, with a baker calling every morning from 8 am, except Wednesdays.
Bikes & motorbikes
Free in both cases.
Motorbikes park free of charge in the reserved area on quai François 1er, where lockers are provided, and on espace Max Guillochin facing the sea. Lockers are also installed on the beach in season.

Without a car
Getting here and around, differently.
Cars Nomad (Région Normandie) — Line 502: Le Tréport – Eu – Mers-les-Bains. Line 519: Eu – Dieppe via Le Tréport.
L'Oiseau Bleu — Serves the three sister towns: Le Tréport, Mers-les-Bains and Eu.
TAD (Transport À la Demande) — Minibus on request, three lines across the 28 towns of the Villes Sœurs district. Free — but reserved for residents of the district.
Train — The Le Tréport – Abancourt line (reopened in 2020), which connects to Beauvais and Paris. The town hall’s tip: splitting your ticket (Paris–Abbeville then Abbeville–Le Tréport) is sometimes cheaper than a through fare.
In practice
Where to park, depending on why you came.
- A whole day in town, or the beach — the funicular car parks. €3, and the ride down is free. Unbeatable as soon as you stay more than two hours.
- You would rather pay nothing — the Place de l’Église, free all year right in the centre, or the Lagaliote car park (400 free spaces, a little way out).
- A quick errand — a “short stop” bay (20 min, parking disc required), or the funicular’s short stay at €0.50 per 15 minutes.
- Dinner on the quays — aim for the quay, but bear in mind that spaces turn over slowly there in the evening in high season: the funicular runs until 0.45 am all year, and will take you back to your car.
- A walk or a hike — most routes start from a free car park outside the centre: see the Walks & hikes page, each entry gives its starting point.
- A Tuesday or Saturday morning — it is market day: the Poissonnerie car park is closed and the centre is busy.
- A spring tide / shellfishing — that is a busy day: arrive early, or go straight up to the funicular.
